Santa Rita Winery Day Tour with Lunch and Andean Museum

About This Experience
This is the one-winery way to spend a wine day from Santiago. Turistik runs it as a shared tour on Wednesdays and Fridays, and instead of hopping between three or four cellars you stay on a single estate, Santa Rita in the Maipo Valley, for about four hours, then spend roughly an hour in its museum.
There is no hotel pickup. You choose a departure point when you book: Diego de Velásquez 2131 next to Los Leones Metro in Providencia (7:30 am), the Hotel Sheraton on Av. Santa María 1742 in Providencia (7:30 am), Monjitas 879 by Plaza de Armas (7:45 am), Av. Vitacura 2653 in Las Condes near Costanera Center and Tobalaba Metro (7:45 am), or the Turistik stand at Mall Parque Arauco, Kennedy Lateral 5601 (8:15 am). Arrive 15 minutes early. The bus brings the group back to Parque Arauco, Av. Vitacura 2653 or Plaza de Armas.
At Santa Rita a guide takes you through the Centennial Park, the vineyards and the cellars and explains how the wine is made. The listing says the estate is a declared Historical Monument. Adults then taste three Santa Rita wines, two Reserva and one Gran Reserva, and keep a Santa Rita glass. Lunch is a three-course menu and is part of the price, and bicycles are included for anyone who wants a ride through the vines.
The last stop is the Andean Museum on the estate, a modern building holding around 3,000 archaeological and ethnographic pieces from pre-Columbian peoples. Guiding is in Spanish, English and Portuguese, and groups can mix languages, so commentary may switch between them. Compared with the multi-winery vans that collect you at your door, you trade variety and convenience for one estate seen properly, a sit-down lunch and a museum visit.
The price is $207 per person for adults and for children aged 3 to 17, who join the tour but not the tasting; infants up to 2 go free on a lap. Free cancellation runs to 24 hours before departure, and the operator can cancel for bad weather or too few bookings.

One of the best winery tours we have done.... anywhere. Great guide, interesting history and background to the winery as well as touring the buildings and of course tasting several great wines.

This was a very inefficient tour managed by a large tourism company in Chile (Turistik). Of the 6 hours that we were on the tour, we were traveling for 3.5 hours and only spent 2.5 hours at the vineyard. Our group arrived at the meeting point

The tour was way nicer than I expected. The group was small (maybe 12 persons) and the guide was great. I would recommend this for anybody that wants to get out of Santiago for half a day, the garden around the vineyard is gorgeous
